Students begin at Shanghai Jiao Tong University — one of Asia's top research institutions — before diving into space exploration at the Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology and experiencing fully autonomous driving at Baidu Apollo Park. Two days of hands-on learning that puts students inside the technologies shaping the future.

Hangzhou is home to Alibaba, BrainCo, WhaleBot, and over 100 AI startups — yet also home to West Lake, one of China's most beloved UNESCO heritage landscapes. Students arrive by high-speed rail from Shanghai and spend three days exploring Zhejiang University's robotics labs, touring Alibaba's futuristic headquarters, controlling brain-computer interfaces at BrainCo, and building their own robots at Hangzhou Robot Town.

Afternoon Oriental Pearl Tower experience — learn about the 350-metre tower's construction and hydraulic lifting technology, discover the AI-controlled lighting system with 1,000+ colour combinations, and capture panoramic views of Shanghai's skyline from the observation deck.
Day 2
Space Exploration & Autonomous Driving
Morning Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST) — Aerospace Exhibition Hall with satellites, rockets, radar systems, and unmanned vehicles. Space Capsule Simulation (microgravity environment with life support systems) and a 4-person VR Rocket Launch Mission.
Afternoon Baidu Apollo Park — L4 Autonomous Vehicle Test Ride on fully driverless cars with 50M+ km of testing. AI Technology Workshop covering sensor fusion, computer vision, and decision-making algorithms. Learn how AI optimises real-time traffic flow and reduces urban congestion.

Alibaba HQ & Brain-Computer Interface Technology
Morning Alibaba Xixi Campus — explore the futuristic headquarters (Visitor Centre, Tai Chi Courtyard, innovation spaces), "Six Veins" Culture Workshop (how a small apartment startup became a $100B+ global tech empire), and Alibaba Cloud AI Applications (e-commerce recommendations, city brain, smart logistics serving 1B+ users).
